Market Conditions Index

Provides Insight

The Market Conditions Index (MCI) is a supply-and-demand metric that provides the clearest view of where the freight markets are and forecasts where they’re headed. View current markets for vans, reefer, and flatbed trucks for five of the country's hotspots. Market conditions provided by DAT Freight and Analytics. 

Load-to-truck ratios represent the number of loads posted for every truck on DAT Load Boards. The load-to-truck ratio is a sensitive, real-time indicator of the balance between spot market demand and capacity. Changes in the ratio often signal impending changes in rates.
